Online Ordering for Healthy Lunches
March 02, 2010Freshateria Brings Healthy Lunches to Sacramento Students with Easy-to-Use Online Ordering for Parents
Freshateria, a division of Jealousy Catering, is the first company to deliver healthy school lunches to Sacramento students on a daily basis.
“Freshateria’s goal is to work with parents, kids, and schools to promote fun, fresh, and nutritious food that will enhance students’ capacities to stay focused and engaged,” says owner, Mike Souza.
Freshateria.com, created by Unifusion Web Design, a Portland web design company, is an easy-to-use online ordering system that allows parents to order lunches for students on as-needed basis. Parents can quickly view upcoming menus, add their students, update information, order lunches, and submit payment. Lunches can be ordered for one day at a time or multiple days, as well as for multiple students. The information is then used by Freshateria to prepare and deliver the lunches.
Unifusion designed the website and custom ordering system specifically for Freshateria’s needs.
“We wanted to make sure that we created something very user-friendly and simple, so that busy parents could quickly log-on and order lunches for their kids,” says Unifusion project manager, Steph Hatfield.
Freshateria has partnered with Kit Carson Middle School, and Phoebe Hearst Elementary School as part of a pilot program, with more schools to be added soon.
