Campaigns Support

The Campaigns tool allows you to attribute content performance to your efforts, view your content campaigns performance, and measure the ROI for your content production.

Creating a Campaign & Settings

To create a campaign click on “new campaign” once in the campaign tool. Name your campaign. Set the start date of your campaign and your default hourly rate to calculate your investment over time.

It is important that your start date is set accurately if the content was created before the start date of your campaign, or after the campaign has ended, data will not be imported for that content.

Set a conversion attribution, the three options are:

  • Entrance: A conversion that entered on this set of pages
  • Passthrough: A conversion that happened if a user viewed a page within 3 steps before reaching goal
  • On-page: A conversion that happened on that page

Once a conversion attribution is selected, click save and then click “add rule”

You are able to select a rule type which includes:

  • Dimension Match
  • Manual
  • Tags (Unifusion tags)
  • Http Status
  • Date Created
  • Webpage Category
  • Authorship

Within Dimension match, you are able to create a campaign with the following dimensions:

  • Hostname
  • Page path
  • Medium
  • Page Title
  • Author
  • Medium
  • Source
  • Network
  • Publisher

Each rule you are able to choose to include pages based off of the rule or exclude. You are able to add multiple rules to campaigns but be aware, one rule may cancel out another.

After you’ve created a campaign, you can go back and add a new rule or remove a rule. The data may take up to 24 hours to update depending on the size of the campaign.

To delete a campaign, navigate to your campaign settings which are inside of the campaign, and click on “Delete”.

Once a campaign is deleted, there is no recovering the campaign data.

Adding Work (or an Investment)

To add work to a campaign, navigate to your campaign and in the left navigation of the campaign click on “work”.  In the top right of your browser, click on “new job” and the job modal will pop up.

In the job window, fill out all necessary fields related to the job. The only required fields are:

  • Name
  • Hours
  • Date

If you want to include more information, click on the buttons to the right of the fields to activate the field. Note, by clicking on the button to the right again, you are removing the field and delete its data.

When finished, click save. The hours will then be multiplied by your hourly rate to generate a dollar amount for the investment. If you want to overwrite this, enter data in the “overwrite cost” field when entering the job.

Networks

Networks is a unique feature to Unifusion that allows you to easily view traffic from popular search or social networks. Each network is comprised of multiple different referral sources to get a complete view at how each one contributes to overall performance.

For example, in most analytics platforms, traffic from Facebook may show up as facebook.com and m.facebook.com or traffic from Twitter may show up as twitter.com or t.co.

Networks combine all Facebook URLs into one for quick and simple analysis.
