What are Entrances in Analytics?
What are Entrances?
The Entrances metric is the number of times users entered the website through a specified page or set of pages. Entrances are added by the first-page view, or screen view hit of a session. Entrances and sessions may not always match because sessions are added on the first hit of a session, regardless of the hit type.
Why are Entrances Important?
The Entrances metric is important as they represent the top performing pages that drive traffic. Entrances can also be a glimpse into what keywords may have been used if users found the page through organic search.
