What are Passthroughs?

The Passthroughs metric tracks the number of times a user visited the page without entering the site on that page. For example, a user enters the site on the Homepage and then navigated to the About page and then the Contact page, the About page would result in a passthrough.

Home > Service > Contact

Why is Passthroughs Important?

The Passthroughs metric is valuable to measure how effective a page, or cluster of pages, may be on a site, even if users are not entering on the page(s) in question.
